ACMEZID M TABLET is a combination of Gliclazide and Metformin, which belongs to the group of medicines called Antidiabetic agents. It is used in the management of diabetes mellitus when dietary measures, physical exercise, and weight loss alone are not sufficient to control blood glucose.
ACMEZID M TABLET is not recommended for use if you have chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, kidney disease, or liver failure. Consult your doctor before taking it.
ACMEZID M TABLET is not recommended for use during pregnancy or in breastfeeding women. ACMEZID M TABLET is not recommended for use in children as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Consult your doctor before taking it.
The most common side effects of taking ACMEZID M TABLET are nausea, diarrhea, gastric pain, constipation, vomiting, metallic taste in the mouth, rash, pruritus, urticaria, erythema, and flushing. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsen.
ACMEZID M TABLET effectively controls blood glucose levels, where Gliclazide works by increasing the amount of insulin by stimulating the pancreas and helps control blood glucose levels. Metformin works by decreasing the production of glucose in the liver, decreasing the intestinal absorption of glucose, increasing insulin sensitivity, and allowing better glucose uptake and utilization by the body.
Take ACMEZID M TABLET, preferably just before meals, during meals, or as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending on your age, body weight, and disease condition.
Include fiber-rich foods in your diet, such as fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole-grain cereals, and drink plenty of fluids. Exercise more regularly and stay active. Contact your doctor if constipation persists.
Drink lots of fluids, such as water or fruit juices, to keep yourself hydrated. Do not take any medicine on your own to treat diarrhea. Contact your doctor if your diarrhea does not improve.
Take ACMEZID M TABLET with a meal. Stick to simple meals. Avoid eating oily or spicy food. Contact your doctor if your nausea and vomiting do not improve.
Avoid hot baths because hot water can irritate your skin further. Do not scratch the affected area. Use sunscreen and wear protective clothing while going outside. Use unscented moisturizers to soothe and hydrate the affected area. Contact your doctor if your rashes worsen.
Rest and relax. Eat and drink slowly or try to have smaller and more frequent meals. Keep a heating pad on your stomach. Do not self-treat on your own, consult your doctor if the symptom does not improve on its own.

ACMEZID M TABLET is not recommended for use by breastfeeding women as it may pass through the breast milk. Consult your doctor before taking it.
Do not drive or operate any machinery if you have increased sweating, a fast heartbeat, vision disorders or difficulty in concentration, dizziness, weakness, or blurred vision after taking ACMEZID M TABLET.
Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking ACMEZID M TABLET, as it may increase the risk of unwanted side effects.

Overdosage:
If you or anyone else accidentally took more ACMEZID M TABLET, consult your doctor immediately or visit the nearby hospital. Overdosage may cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), and symptoms include dizziness, lightheadedness, hunger, nervousness, shaky feelings, drowsiness, confusion, perspiration, and palpitations. Severe hypoglycemic reactions include fits, neurological disorders, and lactic acidosis.
