Befer Tablet is an iron supplement used in elderly, adults and children (above 12 years of age) for various types of anemia (Ex. iron deficiency anaemia, megabolastic anaemia, anaemia associated with malnutrition), and in post-surgical and other relevant medical conditions.
It contains vitamin B12, iron, folic acid and zinc as active ingredients which are essential for the proper growth and functioning of the body.
Iron helps your body in making red blood cells that carry oxygen through your blood to tissues and organs. Vitamin B12 is essential to maintain the health of your metabolism, blood cells, and nerves.
Folic acid is required to form healthy cells, especially red blood cells and is well recognized for its value in the prevention of birth defects. Zinc is crucial for growth and for the development and health of body tissues.
Always take Befer Tablet as advised by your physician. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Ask your doctor before taking it during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Used in elderly, adults and children (above 12 years of age)
Befer Tablet may cause nausea, vomiting, dark stools and occasional stomach pain in some individuals. Consult your doctor if you notice any such effects while taking it.
Q: Does Befer Tablet help strengthen immunity?
A: Befer Tablet contains zinc that plays an important role in the development and function of many immune cells and thus help combat infections and aid wound healing. Consult your doctor for further queries.
Q: Can I take Befer Tablet if I am about to have a surgery?
A: Before taking Befer Tablet, inform your doctor if you are about to have any surgery as the ingredients of this medicine might interfere with it.
Q: Are there any foods I need to avoid while taking Befer Tablet ?
A: Avoid taking Befer Tablet with foods that are high in calcium or phosphorus (Ex. milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, dried beans or peas, lentils, nuts, peanut butter, beer, cola soft drinks, and hot cocoa), as these can make it harder for your body to absorb zinc sulphate. Consult your doctor for advice.
