INTRODUCTION

P COOL CREAM contains Calamine, Lignocaine(lidocaine), and Phenylephrine which belong to the group of medicines called antipruritic,  anaesthetics, and sympathomimetic agents. P COOL CREAM is used in adults to relieve pain and bleeding associated with piles, anal fissures, and haemorrhoids.

Piles (haemorrhoids) are tissue growth in and around the anus due to the enlargement of veins in the lower anus or rectum, which leads to discomfort such as pain, itching, blood in the stool, discomfort when pooping, etc. An anal fissure is a tear or cracks in the lining of the anus or anal canal with symptoms of severe pain while pooping, blood in the poop, etc.

P COOL CREAM is not recommended for use in areas of trauma (injury to the mucosa due to chemical, physical, or thermal injury) or patients with hypersensitivity to the ingredients. Before using P COOL CREAM, inform your doctor if you have any heart diseases, increased blood pressure, diabetes, an enlarged prostate gland, thyroid problems, etc.

P COOL CREAM should be used with caution in patients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, elderly, or have children. Possible side effects of P COOL CREAM are irritation, headache, rectal bleeding, anxiety, skin dryness, etc. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms are worsening.

USES OF P COOL CREAM

It is used in adults to relieve pain and bleeding associated with:

  • piles (tissue growth in and around the anus with discomfort, pain, blood in stool, itching etc)
  • anal fissures (tear or crack in rectum or anus with blood in the mucus, pain during and after pooping)
  • haemorrhoids

HOW P COOL CREAM WORKS

P COOL CREAM contains calamine, lignocaine (lidocaine), and phenylephrine. Calamine relieves itching and soothes the skin. When applied to the skin, the aqueous component of calamine lotion evaporates. The heat required for evaporation is taken from the body, which gives a cooling effect at the site of application.

Calamine has antibacterial properties, which help prevent infections. Phenylephrine is a decongestant that shrinks swollen blood vessels. Enlarged blood vessels result in piles, so phenylephrine helps treat the symptoms of burning, itching, and swelling associated with piles. Lidocaine blocks the pain alerts from the nerves to the brain, thereby decreasing the feeling of pain.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Always use P COOL CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Do not use it on your eyes. Take a small amount of P COOL CREAM in a fingercot. Insert it slowly into the anal opening and apply with gentle rotation. You can also apply P COOL CREAM with a penta applicator.

For that, remove the cap of the tube and insert the Penta applicator into the tube. Insert this into the anal opening. Push the medicine from behind slowly. Remove the applicator and clean it after separating it from the tube. Do not share your applicator with anyone else. Your doctor will determine the required dose and duration of P COOL CREAM for you as per your age and disease condition.
