HEMOLIT CREAM is a combination of Calcium Dobesilate, Hydrocortisone Acetate, Lignocaine, Phenylephrine, Troxerutin and Zinc Oxide which belong to the group of medicines called Anti-haemorrhoids. It is indicated for pain and bleeding associated with anal fissures (a small tear in the lining of anus), haemorrhoids or piles (lumps inside or around your anus), after haemorrhoids removal surgery and in prevention of recurrence of piles following surgery.
HEMOLIT CREAM is also used to treat proctitis (inflammation of lining of rectum) and painful evacuation. HEMOLIT CREAM is not recommended for use if you have tuberculous or fungal lesions or skin vaccinia (viral infection), chicken pox and acute herpes simplex infection. Consult with your doctor before using it.
HEMOLIT CREAM should be used with caution in patients with lung, liver and heart problems. HEMOLIT CREAM should be used during pregnancy only if clearly necessary. It should be used with caution in breastfeeding women. Consult your doctor before using it.
HEMOLIT CREAM is not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age. It should be used with caution in elderly patients. The most common side effects of using HEMOLIT CREAM are burning, irritation, redness, itchiness at the application site. Consult your doctor if any of the symptoms worsen.
HEMOLIT CREAM is used in following conditions:
Troxerutin and Calcium Dobesilate are vasoprotective medicine that works by strengthening the blood vessels at the affected site and also promote fast healing. Lignocaine is a local anaesthetic and Hydrocortisone belongs to the class of steroids together works by decreasing itching, inflammation, redness and swelling. Phenylephrine belongs to the group of decongestants that works by shrinking the swollen blood vessels and eventually relieving site irritation and itching in piles. Zinc oxide is an astringent, which helps to reduce painful swelling and shrink the haemorrhoids. It also protects the skin on the anus from infections. Thus HEMOLIT CREAM helps to shrink pile mass and heals anal fissure effectively.
Apply HEMOLIT CREAM as advised by your physician. It is for topical use only. Wash your hands before and after use. Apply a thin layer of this medicine over the affected area with the help of an applicator or as directed by physician. Avoid the medicine in contact with your eyes, ears, nose or mouth.
