CORECT Suppositories is a pain-relieving medicine used in the management of internal piles (haemorrhoids). It provides relief from pain, discomfort and swelling of the inflamed rectum and colon. It contains Hydrocortisone, Lidocaine, Zinc oxide and Allantoin as active ingredients.
Hydrocortisone is a steroid medicine. It prevents the release of certain chemicals within the body that causes pain and inflammation. When applied topically, it reduces pain, discomfort and swelling caused by haemorrhoids.
Lidocaine (also known as lignocaine) is an anaesthetic medicine. When applied topically, it numbs the site of application, which provides relief from itching, irritation and discomfort associated with haemorrhoids.
Zinc oxide is a mild antiseptic and an astringent agent. It soothes skin irritation, itching, inflammation and redness and prevents the risk of skin infections. Allantoin forms a protective barrier over the skin which seals moisture and protects the skin from external irritants.
