Dolo 120 Suspension is an analgesic and antipyretic medicine that is used in infants and children to treat pain such as headache, migraine, nerve pain, toothache and teething pains, sore throat, rheumatic aches and pains, and influenza.
It also helps in treating fever. It contains paracetamol as an active ingredient which blocks the pain and fever causing mechanism in the body.
Paracetamol works by inhibiting the production of a chemical called prostaglandins in the body which is responsible for causing pain and swelling. It reduces fever by affecting an area of the brain that is responsible for regulating our body temperature called hypothalamic heat-regulating centre.
Give Dolo 120 Suspension to your child as directed by your doctor. It is for oral use only. Shake well before use. Use the measuring cup provided with the bottle. Do not exceed the daily recommended dosage. It is not recommended for use Dolo 120 Suspension in children who weigh less than 4kg, were born before 37 weeks of gestation, or have allergy to paracetamol. Before giving Dolo 120 Suspension to your child, inform the doctor if he/she has liver, kidney diseases or sugar intolerance.
