ALLERCOOL EYE DROPS is a combination of Phenylephrine, Naphazoline, Camphor and Menthol which belongs to the group of medicines called Vasoconstrictor, Decongestant, Cooling and Soothing agents respectively. It is indicated for temporary relief of the minor eye symptoms of itching and redness caused by dust, smoke, sun glare, ragweed, pollen, grass, animal hair and dander, symptomatic relief to tearing, photophobia, redness, swelling, blepharospasm and controlling hyperaemia of the palpebral and bulbar conjunctiva resulting from bacterial, allergic and vernal conjunctivitis.
Your doctor may advise you to undergo relevant tests and examinations to understand your condition. ALLERCOOL EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma of the eye. Before using ALLERCOOL EYE DROPS inform your doctor if you have heart or kidney disease, difficulty in passing urine, prostate enlargement, impaired vision, nasal congestion.
ALLERCOOL EYE DROPS should be used in pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers, only if recommended by your doctor. The most common side effects of ALLERCOOL EYE DROPS includes rebound congestion. Consult your doctor immediately or visit a nearby hospital if any of the symptoms worsen or persists for a longer duration.
It is used for:
ALLERCOOL EYE DROPS is a combination of Phenylephrine, Naphazoline, Camphor and Menthol. phenylephrine acts directly on α-adrenergic receptors in the eye, producing contraction of the dilator muscle of the pupil and constriction of the arterioles in the conjunctiva. Naphazoline works by constricting the blood vessels and relieves itching sensation and irritation of the eye. Menthol works by activating cold-sensitive receptors which causes a cold sensation and it may also relieve pain by activating the kappa-opioid receptor. Camphor works by providing a cooling and soothing effect.
Use ALLERCOOL EYE DROPS as advised by your doctor. It is for ophthalmic use only. Instill a few drops of the medicine into the eye as advised by your doctor.
