ARA contain Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose which belongs to a group of medicine called artificial tears. It is used to relieve dry eye conditions (e.g. condition associated with the use of visual display units, infrequent blinking, certain medical treatments, atmospheric pollution and drying atmospheres e.g. air-conditioning, central heating, wind and sun). It is also used to moisten hard contact lenses and to lubricate artificial eyes. It works by similar, to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.
Always take ARA exactly as your doctor has told you. Check the label for directions before use. Before using this medicine tell your doctor if you have ever had kidney disease, heart disease, liver problems. Do not drive or operate machinery while taking this medicine, since it may cause temporary blurred vision, any visual disturbance. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult their doctor before taking this medicine. The common side effects are vision blurred, eye pain, foreign body sensation in eyes, eye irritation, redness of eye.
ARA works by similar, to natural tears and provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort due to dryness of the eye.

Eye pain:
Place a cold washcloth over your closed eyes two to three times a day for five minutes.
Eye irritation:
Wear sunglasses when you go outside. Rinse your eyes with preservative-free saline water or apply a cold, wet wash cloth. Take out your contact lenses. Don't rub your eyes.
ARA should be used with caution in pregnant women. Consult your doctor before taking this medicine.
