AERODIL EXPECTORANT is used in the relief of cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, emphysema, and other bronchopulmonary disorders where bronchospasm, mucous plugging and problems of expectoration co-exist (lung and airway diseases that have excessive and thick mucus formation, swelling and inflammation of airways, making it difficult to breath).

Q: What is AERODIL EXPECTORANT used for?
A: AERODIL EXPECTORANT is used in the relief of cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, emphysema, and other bronchopulmonary disorders where bronchospasm, mucous plugging and problems of expectoration co-exist (lung and airway diseases that have mucus, swelling, inflammation making it difficult to breath).
Q: How is AERODIL EXPECTORANT useful in treating severe cough?
A: AERODIL EXPECTORANT is a combination of Ambroxol, Guaiphenesin and Terbutaline. Guaiphenesin increases respiratory tract fluid, reduces the viscosity of tenacious secretions and acts as an expectorant. Terbutaline predominantly stimulates beta 2-receptors (these a kind of receptors present in airway smooth muscles) thus producing relaxation of bronchial smooth muscle. When the medicine is given in combination, it makes breathing easier and relives the discomfort.
