INTRODUCTION

Azkalax S Tangy Orange Flavour Powder is a laxative medicine used to treat occasional constipation. It contains Ispaghula husk and Senna powder as the active ingredients.

Ispaghula husk (also known as Psyllium husk) is a plant-based dietary fibre that acts as a gentle bulk-forming laxative. When combined with water, it swells and forms a gel-like mass that lubricates the intestines and bulks up the stool volume. By increasing the stool bulk, it also increases the tension in the bowel wall which may trigger bowel movements.

Senna powder is a natural occurring stimulant laxative. It increases bowel movements by stimulating the gut muscles. Additionally, both ispaghula and senna softens the stools by retaining more water/fluid within the intestines, thus facilitating the easy passage of stools.

Take Azkalax S Tangy Orange Flavour Powder as advised by your physician. Mix one levelled scoop of Azkalax S Tangy Orange Flavour Powder into a glass full of water. Stir well and consume immediately. It is important to take adequate amount of fluid along with this medicine as taking this medicine without adequate fluid may cause choking.

Do not take this medicine if you have difficulty in swallowing. Before taking Azkalax S Tangy Orange Flavour Powder inform your doctor if you have any other stomach conditions as precautions. Leave a time gap of at least 2 hours between Azkalax S Tangy Orange Flavour Powder and other medicine if you are prescribed with any. It is best to take Azkalax S Tangy Orange Flavour Powder at bedtime, because it may take around 8-12 hours for this medicine to show its effects.
