ETHAMO 500 TABLET contains etamsylate, which belongs to the group of medicines called antihemorrhagic drugs. It helps to reduce bleeding and control blood loss. It is used before, during and after a delicate surgical procedure involving the urinary system, eyes, nose, throat, etc. to treat and prevent bleeding. It is also used to treat and prevent conditions such as blood in the urine, blood vomit, bleeding from the nose, blood in the stools, bleeding from the gums, etc.
In females, ETHAMO 500 TABLET is used to treat spotting (bleeding between menstrual periods) and excessive or prolonged bleeding during menstruation (with or without an intrauterine device) in the absence of any organ defects.
Before starting with ETHAMO 500 TABLET, your doctor might want to do a few tests to verify the cause of the bleeding. If you are a woman suffering from excessive menstrual bleeding, your doctor will do a thorough gynaecological check-up before therapy.
ETHAMO 500 TABLET is not recommended to take if you are allergic to etamsylate or sulfites, have bronchial asthma or are suffering from porphyria (a blood disorder where the formation of haemoglobin is not proper). Before taking ETHAMO 500 TABLET, inform your doctor if you are suffering from any kidney, liver or heart diseases to avoid unwanted side effects.

Additionally, it decreases blood loss at the site by increasing blood capillary resistance.
Take ETHAMO 500 TABLET exactly as advised by your doctor. It is advised to swallow the medicine with a glass of water and should be taken preferably with meals. During surgical procedures, it is advised to take ETHAMO 500 TABLET on an empty stomach. Do not crush or chew the medicine. Nausea and vomiting:

Headache :
