AB PHYLLINE SR 200 TABLET contains Acebrophylline which belongs to the group of medicines called Anti-asthmatic drugs. It is used in the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It can also be used to treat inflammation of the airways (such as bronchitis)
Before taking AB PHYLLINE SR 200 TABLET inform your doctor if you have any liver, kidney or heart problems. You must also inform your doctor if you have fits, stomach ulcers, viral infections, hypertension or hyperthyroidism as a precaution.
AB PHYLLINE SR 200 TABLET is not recommended for use in pregnant women. It should be used in breastfeeding women only if it is considered necessary by the physician.
The most common side effects of taking AB PHYLLINE SR 200 TABLET are epigastric pain, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, drowsiness, diarrhea and constipation. Consult your doctor if any of these side effects trouble you.

AB PHYLLINE SR 200 TABLET is a bronchodilator with anti-inflammatory properties. It blocks the release of certain chemicals (such as phosphodiesterase) in the respiratory tract that triggers airway inflammation, swelling and narrowing. As a result, it widens the airways, and reduces airway inflammation. It also loosens the mucus accumulated in the airways which allows the air to pass through more freely through the airways and makes breathing easier.
Take AB PHYLLINE SR 200 TABLET as advised by your physician. Swallow the medicine with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the medicine.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy depending upon your age, body weight and disease condition.
Do not stop taking AB PHYLLINE SR 200 TABLET once your symptoms subside without consulting your doctor.
Nausea and Vomiting
