ACNELAK CLZ CREAM is a combination of Clindamycin and Zinc acetate which belongs to a group of medicines known as Antibiotics and Minerals respectively. It is used to treat mild to moderate acne.
Acne is a long-term skin condition that occurs when hair follicles plug with oil and dead skin cells which may be triggered by bacteria. It is characterised by uninflamed blackheads to pus-filled pimples or large, red and tender bumps.
Before using ACNELAK CLZ CREAM inform your doctor if you have inflammatory bowel disease (Ex. colitis or Crohn’s disease). Consult your doctor for advice.
ACNELAK CLZ CREAM should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding woman as it may excrete in breastmilk and may pass to the baby. Consult your doctor for advice.
ACNELAK CLZ CREAM is not recommended for use in children and adolescents below 12 years of age. Consult with your physician.
The common side effects are skin dryness, skin burning sensation, redness of skin, worsening of acne, itchiness, irritation around the eyes. Consult your doctor if any of the side effects worsens.
ACNELAK CLZ CREAM works effectively where Clindamycin acts by inhibiting the protein synthesis which is necessary for the bacterial growth thereby it stops the growth of acne causing bacteria. Zinc acetate reduces the sebum production, inhibits the neutrophils and TNF production (substances responsible for inflammation), increases the tissue healing capacity and it also supress the bacterial growth.
Use ACNELAK CLZ CREAM as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. Wash as usual and pat dry the skin. A thin film of ACNELAK CLZ CREAM should be applied in affected area only.
Stop applying ACNELAK CLZ CREAM and contact your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following side effects:
