CANDID B LOTION is a combination of Beclomethasone and Clotrimazole which belongs to a group of medicines called Corticosteroids and Antibiotics, respectively. CANDID B LOTION is used to relieve the inflammatory manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses when complicated by secondary infection caused by organisms sensitive to the components of this dermatologic preparation or when the possibility of such infection is suspected. It is also used to treat athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, allergic rhinitis, jock itch, oral thrush, fungal infections of armpit and skin folds.
A fungal infection also called mycosis, is a skin disease caused by a fungus. It causes irritation, scaly skin, redness, itching, swelling and blisters.
CANDID B LOTION is not recommended for use in patients having skin problems such as acne, rosacea (severe flushing of skin), perioral dermatitis (spotty red rash around mouth), viral & fungal infections.
Before applying CANDID B LOTION, inform your doctor if you have psoriasis (itchy skin), liver disease and allergic reaction to any substance.
CANDID B LOTION should be used with caution during pregnancy and in breastfeeding women only if it is necessary.
It is not recommended for use in children (below 2 years). Consult your doctor for advice before using this medicine.
The most common side effects are irritation, burning or stinging sensation, itchy rash, red, itchy skin, and blistering at the site of application. Consult your doctor if any of these above side effects gets worse.
CANDID B LOTION is a combination of Beclometasone and Clotrimazole which treat skin infections. Beclometasone is a steroid which blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the skin red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi on the skin by preventing them from forming their own protective covering.
Use CANDID B LOTION as directed by your physician. It is for external use only. On the affected area, apply a thin layer of this medicine. Avoid applying CANDID B LOTION around your eyes, including eyelids.
Stop applying CANDID B LOTION and contact your doctor if you experience any of the following side effects:
Itchy Skin:
Avoid scratching your skin. Cool your skin by holding onto a damp towel. Try to have cool or warm baths. Wear loose clothing and do not wear tight clothes. Try to avoid using perfumed soaps, deodorants or moisturizers and always use unperfumed moisturizer.
CANDID B LOTION should be used with caution during pregnancy and in women planning for pregnancy. Consult your doctor before applying CANDID B LOTION.
